Mount Kilimanjaro 360 View Cottages began as a small treehouse-style restaurant during uncertain times, growing gradually with intention rather than rapid expansion. What started as Maisha Khalisi Restaurant has evolved into a small collection of ten thoughtfully designed cottages, each carefully positioned to embrace the surrounding landscape.

Built using recycled and locally sourced materials, the property reflects a deep respect for the land, the community, and the presence of Mount Kilimanjaro. We remain intentionally small, allowing each cottage to offer a quiet and personal connection to the mountain and the natural beauty that surrounds it.

Maisha Khalisi is our in-house restaurant, growing naturally as part of the cottages’ story. Dining takes place across three levels — casual coffee and light meals on the ground floor, a relaxed dining and lounge space on the first floor, and breakfast or dinner served with beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro from the upper level. Our food is simple, homemade, and prepared with care, using fresh local ingredients whenever possible. Dining available at Maisha Khalisi Restaurant, Room service is not available.

Mount Kilimanjaro 360 View Cottages is located in the peaceful village of Kwa Chang’e, surrounded by coffee plantations and countryside views on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The property is approximately 55 minutes’ drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and about 10 minutes from Moshi town, offering convenient access while maintaining a quiet setting away from the busy town center.

The final approximately 1 km of the access road is unpaved, which is typical for countryside locations in the Kilimanjaro region. This short stretch leads through the village and farmland before reaching the cottages on the hillside.
