Itinerary

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up in Moshi , followed by a scenic 3-hour drive through farmland, forest plantations, and smallholder fields to the Kilimanjaro National Park gate. From there, the trail climbs steadily through indigenous forest into the giant heather zone and up to the plateau. Once on the Shira Plateau, you can choose a relaxed walk on the floor of the plateau or hike along the rim for panoramic views. A picnic lunch is provided, and your guide shares knowledge about the mountain’s geology, flora, and wildlife.

After a rewarding day exploring the high-altitude terrain, you will descend and return to your Arusha hotel by late afternoon or early evening. Hikers should bring warm layers, waterproof clothing, sturdy boots, and a small daypack; rental equipment is also available if needed.
